The UKEB has today published its 2025/28 (Draft) Regulatory Strategy for consultation. It sets out the UKEB’s strategic objectives for the next three years as the Board continues to focus on fulfilling its statutory functions.
UKEB Chair, Pauline Wallace, said:
“The global business landscape has continued to develop since the UKEB was established in 2021. Amongst other changes we have seen even greater technological innovation and a shift towards a greener economy. As new economic realities continue to emerge and the pressure on growth increases, the UKEB’s role in influencing the development of high-quality international accounting standards becomes ever more important. We will continue focusing on the UK long-term public good, balancing the needs of investors and businesses, and supporting effective and efficient capital allocation through comparable and proportionate reporting standards.
We look forward to receiving stakeholder feedback on our 2025/28 Regulatory Strategy, during the consultation period.”
The consultation will be open until 6 February 2025. Respondents should submit their comments to UKEndorsementBoard@endorsement-board.uk by that date.
For operational reasons, the UKEB’s 2025/26 budget is incorporated within the FRC Plan and Budget which is also published for consultation until 6 February 2025.
